About Your Instructor

Hi there! My name is Brigitte. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the ups and downs of a partnership. I’ve experienced the pain of losing two significant relationships due to betrayal and not having the tools to work through conflicts effectively. But through those experiences, I discovered an unwavering determination to learn the skills needed for a healthy, loving relationship.

My journey led me to the Developmental Model of Relationships, a transformative program created by Ellyn Bader and Pete Pearson, two of the world’s leading couples therapy pioneers. I’m also Level 1 trained in the Gottman Method and approved to teach the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work workshop. Discovering the Gottman approach has been a profound turning point for me. After years of searching, I finally found clear answers and practical skills to build and sustain a healthy relationship.

In addition to my relationship coaching expertise, I’m a certified Mindfulness teacher. I firmly believe in the power of integrating mindfulness tools into relationship work. They help cultivate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and present-moment connection—essential elements for fostering lasting intimacy.

As a relationship coach, I’m passionate about guiding others to break free from old patterns and create the collaborative, loving partnerships they deserve. Let’s work together to help you rediscover the love, connection, and joy in your relationship.

Will we have to share private details with the group?

No. While there are exercises to practice with your partner, these are done privately between the two of you. You won’t be asked to share personal details with the group.

What if my partner is hesitant to attend?

This is common! Many people feel nervous about attending a relationship workshop. Feel free to have your partner reach out to me with any concerns. The workshop is designed to be comfortable, non-confrontational, and even enjoyable.

Is this the same as couples therapy?

No. This is an educational workshop where you’ll learn research-based relationship skills. While therapeutic elements are present, this is not therapy and doesn’t replace the need for couples counseling if that’s what you’re seeking.

Do we need to prepare anything beforehand?

No preparation is required. Just come with an open mind and willingness to learn. We’ll provide all the necessary materials.

Can same sex couples attend?

Absolutely! The Gottman Method principles apply to all committed relationships, regardless of orientation or gender identity.

What if we can't make both sessions?

Because each session builds on the previous one, it’s important to attend the entire workshop. If you have scheduling concerns, please contact me to discuss options.
